“These great new resources are now available on the Agribusiness in Schools website. They include a huge variety of activities for year one to year five students and will really help to further expand students’ understanding of some of New Zealand’s key agricultural sectors.”
Agribusiness in Schools is spreading far and wide across New Zealand. 36% of secondary schools offering Agribusiness are rural and 64% urban. See our 2022 Annual report for more information.
Registrations for the 2024 Agribusiness in Schools National Conference are open. With a strong focus on Food and Careers in Food, incredible key speakers and workshops, this is a great opportunity to get some insight, input and inspiration.
Agribusiness in Schools in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, NZQA and the primary industries have collaborated to design an agribusiness programme that will prepare the best and brightest students for careers in the primary sector.
It is offered at NCEA Levels 2 and 3 and is designed for students who excel in science and commerce subjects. This academic course exposes students to the wide range of skills required and the opportunities available in the primary sector beyond the farm gate.
The agribusiness programme is now being offered at other schools around New Zealand.
